Horrific experience!!!!
I am currently under the care of another dentist. During my initial visit with him, I was told that the bone graft hadn’t held and was gone. He also said that most implants don’t need a bone graft and he would be able to do the implant without the bone graft that I was charged $800 for and that I didn’t consciously approve.
After too long without a dentist visit for me and my husband all of the staff were outstanding. They put us fully at ease and explained everything in detail to us. Dr Oyler was amazing very caring, gentle and ensured we were fully educated on our dental needs. I would highly recommend Dr Oyler don't delay in making your appointment.
The next day, I called the office and said I was disputing the charge, and that I was unhappy with my dental care and I wanted a refund on my credit card. I said I didn’t fully understand what they were doing, as I was under sedation, and I didn’t feel that was fair. They said they had contacted my husband and that he had given them permission. This is 100% not true, and can be verified with phone records. The only time they contacted him was when it was time to pick me up from the office. I was told that someone would call me back to discuss the dispute, and to this day I have not heard from their office at all.
After an extremely painful procedure where I felt the extraction of one of the 4 pieces of tooth that she had to cut out of my jaw, she lacerated the inside of cheek bad enough to require stiches. I had reacted from the pain which is why I believe I was cut. I remember tears streaming down my cheeks and crying in pain and trying to get them to stop, which they did not. I was sent home with my husband and a prescription for pain medication.
On September 21st, 2017 I was scheduled for a tooth extraction by Oyler Dentistry. I had a previous appointment which determined that I had a crack in a tooth that had an older root canal and would need to be extracted then be replaced by either an implant, or partial in the future. Dr. Oyler had referred me to a specialist for additional x-rays that I had to pay for out of pocket, to confirm the crack in the tooth. I was originally told that I would need to see a dental surgeon for the extraction, but when I called the office, Dr. Oyler said she could do the extraction. The day before my appointment, I spoke to Dr. Oyler about my concerns for pain management, as I have a history of not getting numb and that I wanted to make sure we had a solid plan in place for pain management during the procedure. She offered me conscious sedation, which I had never had before, and she also commented that she would, “need to eat her Wheaties”, because she anticipated a difficult removal. She said the tooth may even need to be removed in more than one piece.
The morning of the procedure I was told to bring in the prescription of medication that I would take before the procedure. While I was in the dental chair I was given the medication, the assistant said they were verifying my insurance for coverage of the bone graft that would be needed for an implant. At that point I wasn’t sure about getting an implant or a partial because of the cost, and I wanted to verify coverage by my insurance company. Long after I took the sedation medication but prior to the being of the procedure, I’m told that they asked my permission to do the bone graft. Because I was sedated, I don’t remember all of this discussion or that I gave the approval.
Have been using Dr. Oyler's office for my dental work for the past 2 or 3 years, and they have been fantastic! Always ready to give helpful advice, and always prepared for whatever treatment they are giving. Very nice staff, and very nice office! All of the dental work they have done has held up excellently, and they have a 1 year guarantee on most of their substantial work.
Up front they are a very nice group of people. Friendly, funny, and helpful. They promise a perfect experience and in my case delivered a horrific one. I had even referred them to my husband and good friend, who have since cancelled all appointments. Go with caution!!!!
As always great work for myself and the family. Staff is very good. They are also great with Kids.
Another great day with Dr Jenny Neese and new hire Ashley F. Ashley did an amazing job and was very friendly and truly an outstanding job. Dr Neese as always the best dentist I've ever had and outstanding in all respect. I normally hate going to dentist but you two make it fun and truly a great experience. Sincere thanks for all your hard work, attention to detail. and customer service.
