I have been here several times, but WILL NOT be returning. The vet seems knowledgable, but the receptionist is downright rude. I made an appointment and when I took my dogs in the last time, they had double booked my slot with another patient and tried to blame ME for the mistake. What disappointed me so much in the service wasn't the fact that my appointment was messed up, it was how they handled it afterward. The lady was rude and condescending; she acted like it was a burden for her to deal with this even though it was CLEARLY their mistake. She asked if I could come back later or the following day, but I said I was unable to do so. She actually asked me why I could not come back saying, "What do you have to do?" I told her it was none of her business what I was doing, the point was I had an appointment, had shown up on time (5 minutes early to be exact) and that I should not be treated this way. What she should have done was simply say, "I'm sorry. Let me see what I can do to work this out." She seemed too lazy and unconcerned to put some actual thought into the situation. What surprises me the most is that this vet is about twice as expensive as a lot of other places. I paid the high prices because of the location and convenience. You would think that when a business is overpriced to start with, they would at least offer stellar service. I can only imagine if they treated me this way, how they treat the animals left in their care.
Dr. Carey Wasem advised that Hero needed to have several teeth extracted. He was very patient and thorough in answering my many questions. During the surgery, Dr. Wasem personally called me and kept me updated several times throughout the day. As the surgery progressed, he found more teeth that needed to be extracted. Although the extra work ran significantly over the cost estimate, he honored the price originally quoted.
I am so grateful that thanks to the care of Dr. Wasem and his excellent staff I have a cat with a new lease on life!
Dr. Dan was incredibly thorough and gentle, and the tech was also very sweet and kind, helping to soothe and hold my puppy. I got lots of information and they were incredibly patient with a worried "mommy," making sure I knew everything, giving me cost estimates, and checking over my dog's health. Their location is super convenient and their staff is so loving to all of the animals... I will definitely be back.
Choosing a vet can be overwhelming. My elderly cat Hero has had numerous teeth fall out over the years, and when he started to exhibit signs of pain I decided it was time to take him in. After calling a few vets in the Zionsville area, l reached Jody at the Zionsville Animal Clinic. She had the most welcoming and reassuring voice, and took the time to answer all of my initial questions.
