This was an East coast to West coast transport. They get a 2 star only because it made it there. But the picking up and dropping off process gets ZERO Stars. Received 3 phone calls for pick-up. All from different people tells me different dates and times. Long-haul driver, Long-haul dispatcher, & local towing company. I then didn't feel comfortable giving the keys to anybody. Story is ever worse on the drop-off side but its too hard to explain here. Sad part is that I hear this happens all the time no matter who you hire to move your vehicle. Bottom line is to drive it there or put it on the auto train.
My experience with Reindeer has been extremely delightful. Reindeer handled my cross country car location from CA to PA in an extremely professional fashion. Kudos to my relocation coordinator - Niki Parker who made sure that the entire process was smooth and provided me regular updates during pick up, transit and final delivery.
P.S. Remember to record your millage before the shipment, I forgot...
This is the absolute worst car transportation company I have ever dealt with. They relocated my vehicle from Florida to California and caused 2000 dollars worth of damage. The vehicle was delivered a full week after it was supposed to be delivered because they didn’t plan to bring it to a mountain address. I could never get a ahold of my service advisor anytime during the move by telephone. She quit the day after it was delivered. I submitted a claim to have the vehicle repaired and they denied it because I wasn’t able to get the vehicle washed in 24 hours to review the damage since I was away on business when it was delivered. Finally they won’t do the right thing and fix it for me even though I have proof the vehicle hasn’t been driven since taking delivery. No customer service here!! I won’t move a vehicle with them ever again. Beware!
This company did a great job! They were selected by a moving company that I trust to ship my vehicle, and I am very pleased with the results. My car came quickly in just a few days (within the estimated window, although they do give a guaranteed by date which was 1.5 weeks later) even though it was a holiday weekend. Brandon and team were wonderful, and the driver dropping off my vehicle was very polite and helpful. My car had no obvious or visible wear and works just as well as before I shipped it. Considering the shipment was from Tennessee to California, I am impressed with the condition of my vehicle, as I did opt for open carrier. The company was available through both email and phone for any questions or scheduling requests I had. Above and beyond service for sure!
Overall this went better than expected. Since where the car was to be picked up and delivered Reindeer contracted a towing service to puck up and deliver my car; both drivers from the towing services were professional and very pleasant, one called when he got stuck in a traffic jam to tell me he would be late. Also because of the towing services they asked when would be a good time for me for the pick up and delivery. Reindeer even stored my car for a couple days since truck drove the distance quicker than I did. The only issues I had/have was a small stone chip and scuff happened during the shipment, BUT they were extremely minor and I would use Reindeer again.
